Personal Defence / Open Hand Combatives.
We teach a combination of various skills in open hand combat, making use of Kali principles, Boxing, selected techniques from other martial arts and incorporate elements from one of the most effective and efficient combat systems in the world, Krav Maga. Krav Maga was designed to be easy to learn, simple and to be used by civilians as well as professional law enforcement and military units.
Our approach to Personal Defence teaches individuals how to deal with multiple attackers, weapon disarms, rape and possible rape situations and other real life scenarios.
Anti-Hijacking / Abduction
Dark Rose offers a comprehensive Anti-Hijacking / Abduction program that covers the basics relating to: Awareness, Preparedness, Response, After Care.
In South Africa today, there has been a spike in Hijacking, attempted Hijacking as well as Abduction cases. We aim to educate individuals on how to identify, avoid and then if the need arises, how to effectively react and counter these events.
Firearms Training
Dark Rose offers firearms training to individuals on various levels, ranging from a beginner, who needs an orientation around firearms, safety etc, up to the more skilled and even Professional Security / Law Enforcement. We also focus on EDC (Everyday Carry) working in and around structures, vehicles and how to deal with a medical or trauma situation while still being able to maintain calmness and control in the firefight or confrontation.
We aim to build a solid skills foundation, along with our highly skilled and well accredited training partners.
Boxing
At the Dark Rose training facility, we offer boxing classes and sessions, that cater for beginners and professionals. We have excellent coaches, and these sessions will ensure that individuals learn the basics and frameworks, building up skills and break out a sweat!
Knife and Improvised Weapons
Dark Rose offers basic knife handling (Defensive and Offensive) and teaches concepts around movement and effective combat using a bladed weapon but also other weapons like expandable batons, pepper spray and other less lethal weapons.
